Olympic Torch

An Olympic Torch

Today we were very lucky to have one of the official Olympic torches in Rimu Class.  Jorja's dad was selected to run and carry torch in a rare opportunity to run with and carry the torch.  He ran with the New Zealand Olympians in the 2000 Olympics.  It was lit from the Olympic flame which is kept burning all the time.

  3. Hi there, my name is Christine and I am a student in Room 22 at Owairaka District School. I really like the Olympic torch you made. It made me think of my Olympic torch that I made for our Olympics day on Friday. Did the teacher help you do that or you made it by yourself? It would be great if you visited my blog and comment sometimes http://odschristinec.blogspot.co.nz

    It's very nice

  5. Kia ora Rimu Class, I'm Hannah from Owairaka District School.

I really like your post about that awesome looking torch. That torch looks really different to the rest of the other torches. On the second picture it said Sydney, was it really from Australia?
