Olympic Torch

An Olympic Torch

Today we were very lucky to have one of the official Olympic torches in Rimu Class.  Jorja's dad was selected to run and carry torch in a rare opportunity to run with and carry the torch.  He ran with the New Zealand Olympians in the 2000 Olympics.  It was lit from the Olympic flame which is kept burning all the time.

    I really love that torch I would be really keen to get the oppurtunity to carry the torch.Is the top part made of silver?

    I really like your post about that awesome looking torch. That torch looks really different to the rest of the other torches. On the second picture it said Sydney, was it really from Australia?

    It was so exiting to see a real Olympic torch from 2000 It was so cool because it was like I was dreaming Jorja's step dad was really lucky.
