Te Whare Tapa Whā

Google Meet Read

Mr Wilkinson Hits the Big Screen

When the What now team were visiting our school, Mr Wilkinson, our principal, said he would read a book and eat chocolate with the children who attended.  This week, he has been with family in the North Island so we were able to gather as a hub and put him up on our big screen.
He shared two books with all of Takitini which had us all engrossed and laughing at Gary.
Here are a few pictures of it:

Our Weekly Value

Being Conscious of the World Around Us

This week our value is Being Conscious of the World Around Us.  This means showing awareness and empathy for what might be going on for other people and changing the way we act to be supportive of this.
In Whakamanawa, we created a Wrinkled Heart Google Drawing to list the things that are said or done to us that make us feel down and blue.  We then wrote things that make us feel positive and fill our hearts with good feelings.

Our next step is to actually change our actions and apply these things.
