  1. Malo e lelei,
Thank you for sharing your learning for Tongan Language Week. You are helping my knowledge of Tongan language to grow to. It's great that you have added a video clip, really helps with pronounication. Did you make any video clips of you practising your Tongan?

Thank you for visiting our blog. I am glad that you were able to learn from our sharing. So far, we have not made any clips of us saying Tongan words but that is a great idea and we will add that to part of our learning.
Do you know of any other cool resources or learning tools that other schools are using to celebrate Tongan Language Week?

  2. Hi there, my name is Mr Rattenbury from Waikowhai Primary School (I am a teacher in the senior school). I really like the slideshow you made to celebrate Tongan Language Week, it was very helpful. Have you thought about including some recordings of students giving demonstrations of some of the words or phrases? Our class blog site is: https://wpsrattenbury.blogspot.com/
Check it out if you have the time

Thank you for checking out our blog. I am glad it was helpful. Feel free to make a copy if that would be useful. We haven't made any recordings yet, but that is a great idea and we will try it. Do you know of a good tool that we could use as a recording? I think we will try Voki. We will check out your blog.
    Kia pai tou ra.

  5. Malo etau lava Rimu class. Ko hoku hingoa ko Bella. That is hi Rimu class and my name is Bella in Tongan. I am a year 6 at Paihia School in Te Ngahere. I love your Tongan language learning. I like how you guys added so much effort into learning the basics for the language. It was full of information too, which was really interesting. I never knew that Tonga was 2.382 kilometers away from New Zealand. I thought it would be more.
    Keep up the good work

  9. Hi there, my name is Calai and I am a student in Waikowhai Primary School. I really like this slide that you shared about Tongan language week. Maybe next time you could record yourself saying some things in Tongan. It made me think it was a bit like making a slide show about New Zealand.
