Māori Art

Māori Art for Fun Friday

As a build up to Māori Language Week, some children chose to come to Māori Art for Fun Friday this week.  Check it out...

    I love doing this type of art it was cool when we painted it with dye [ the thing the kids loved the most.]

  24. Talofa Rimu Class.It's Tamara here.Just checking out the Maori art that we did for fun friday. I really liked the part that we had to put the dye. I think that the kids that did the Maori art would like to do it again. I wish that we could do it this Friday. Thank you Miss Waho for teaching us how to do Maori art.

    1. Kia ora Janice. Thank you for the positive comment. We used printed designs then used crayon to colour. We finished it off with dye and then cut and mounted them onto black paper to help the colour of the dye pop.
