Hub Waiata

Te Ara Takitini

This week we had our first session back with Kapa Haka.  We decided to have Matua Anton, our Kapa Haka tutor, working with each area of the school to learn and rehearse our class and hub waiata.
Te Ara Takitini got together and we talked about what the waiata means for us as a group of many working collaboratively together.
Here goes a video of where we are at with our waiata at the moment.

  1. Kia ora Te Rōpū Whakamanawa and Takatini tamariki. It was great watching you all joining together to sing you hub song. It was impressive seeing some of you really getting into the song and owning it.
    Nice job.

    1. Thanks Mrs Ryan.
I hope Māia and Auaha enjoyed it. We sang it again this week and we were even more confident. Our next step is to add some actions.

  3. Just beautiful. I love hearing you all singing together like this, especially as I can hear you all down the hallway to my desk. I really look forward to watching your progress as the year goes on. You should all watch this at the end of the year and see your progression. Robert, you have got the groove going, keep up the enthusiasm 😊
